"Oya you have undone me!"
"It seems that Oya has a Heart Laser, powered by Love. With the skill of a Soul-Surgeon, she shines this pure, focussed beam just where it is needed, bringing attention, focus, clarity and light to the places in ourselves that we bring to her to be healed."
"Memories of my stay....
Watermelon juice dripping down my chin
Lingering conversations over dinner.
Turtles in the river
Sleeping under the stars and waking to the soft fluttering of wings
The delight of finding that the breakfast matched my dress
The hot Mediterranean sun
Howling with the dogs
Dancing like a lunatic
Laughing more than I have for years
Orgasmic strawberries
The idea of inviting 1000 sheep to cut the grass
Pink geraniums, purple kitchen
Being cared for with such love
Space, peace, warmth and excellent company
A place of permission and surrender
A place of the deepest healing
Thank you Oya and Michael"
much love to you both, and to the dogs, cats, spiders and the weeds you told me to replant....
Stay Cool!
love

Thank you both for giving Paul and I such a wonderful experience. We had an amazing time ans we shall never forget it. You are wonderful people with big warm hearts, you opened our hearts with your warmth and love. Oya I will always remember our "belly hug"- I have never experienced such nurturing, you gave me so much healing. thank you. Paul now dances with his eyes open and I now know what it feels like to dance from my center. You are a very wise, intuitive teacher. Your cooking has also inspired me.

Hello to you both
"Its very rare to be welcomed into a home so accepting, so safe, so much fun and so graced as yours. That alone holds the possibility of healing.
But on top of that you, Oya, hold the space with such awareness, such seeing, such deep wisdom and love - inside the studio and beyond - that the potential for healing, I believe, is without limitation.
The words that came for my own journey this time were AMAZINGRACE.
I send a dance of gratitude for all that you both give and for sharing all that you are, individually and in loving dance of your union.
Sarah......... Oxford May 1010

There are no words to describe shamanic work with Oya ...
there are no words to describe being at Oya's and Michael's home ...
there are no words to describe how different I feel after every time I have spent in the valley ...
there are no words to describe the feelings of my heart that have opened up for me ...
there are no words to describe how I see myself and the world with new eyes ...
... but what I can say - there is hardly any chance to return back home without being deeply and profoundly moved on a body, mind and spirit level.
Many many heartfelt thanks for inviting people to your home and for sharing your gifts, wisdom, time, life, love and open heart xxx

Deeply healing time, like in the womb and the first stirrings of contraction, I think Oya you were a midwife in a previous life.........loved that whole magical aspect of your place, and what we did together. I don't use that word lightly and I can't find another to describe what I mean.Other forces were at work and other realms showed themselves, layers were peeled off and truth and beauty shone through and sang their clear song.I would like to continue working--thats not the right word-- with you all, going deeper and strengthening our bonds under your intelligent strong and skillful, guidance Oya......

......... We often talk about our experiences and the wisdom you shared with us. It has had a profound effect on our lives and we got so much out of it. We loved the fact that it turned out we were the only ones there as we got you both all to ourselves, including the rest of your strays :) It really helped us to formulate some stuff, and put things in perspective. Words can't quite express what happened but it was definitely a bit of magic. We really appreciate the way in which you work and felt thoroughly nurtured and loved in just the right way. Can we come again?

Thanks for the gift of solitude feet, and time to heal my aching heart. Michael the glass or two of wine and all the laughing helped, my only complaint : Put on weight : Oya your food was fantastic I never expected such love, care, and puddings. You know the way to this man's heart.
Peter : Guildford Oct 2009

...in awe of how simple you made the dance, why haven't i got that before i've been dancing for 9 years !! i'm really inspired. Your intuition, care and tenderness stripped every thing down to bear bones and left me with the naked simplicity of breath and instintual movement it was a revelation. Only a true medicine woman could crack that.

Hello Oya Sept 2009
Thank you for inviting me over my thresholds in such a loving manner. Rosie
Finca Rio de la Luna By Rosie Mappleback
We are graced by ichneumon's in yellow and black bands
and turquoise dragonflies which dance
above the red rocky terraces of agaves before a Moorish fortress.
We guard against sun, not intruders
so scorpion spiders creep up on our ramparts.
A chatter and hubbub from the night balcony breaks
Sultry fiesta hums of lazy fly and chirping cricket song.
A gentle breeze rustles crisped almonds and a stand of bamboo muffles monotonous sounding of an anxious finca dog.
The storm-tainted wind refreshes the arbour seat in whose silks we couch
to seize the shade cast from red clay pantiled roofs.
Each tile wears the impression of a different peasant thigh
who toiled in the same searing Andalusian sun.
The dancing tribes are welcomed in this hallowed space:
enfolded in loving hospitality and joy:
challenged to find their darkest inner places
and release their souls into the passion of duende.
Although we have danced and our bodies now want rested,
Our minds are lively ants, rushing by with seeds to store.
We mull over plans to decorate the massive finca walling,
As yet whitewashed stucco, bare in the local style.
In the morning, as the sun arises over Malaga,
Tucked in behind its groves of citrus, nut and avocado trees.
There will be preying mantis on the bathroom walls to shock us
and fiery salamanders, singing solar praise.
We dance barefoot into the warmth of mother earth;
Search for rocks to crush fur-clad almond shells;
Pluck dust-laden figs, all honey-sweet and jelly
While the Sahel reminds us she is not far away.
Fiesta de la Luna Mora grips our nights in spicy fever:
Avenues of perfumed wares fill old Guaro town.
All lit by bottled candlelight, in a feast of arab passion,
While the raw edge of flamenco searches out our souls.
