Thank you to the path finders. x
...........I feel a peace inside that I have not experienced before. I have done much work on myself over the years that has taken me to this point in my life, and felt that there were no more layers for me to work with. However, with you I have entered another "layer" I did not know existed.

Deeply healing time, like in the womb and the first stirrings of contraction, I think Oya you were a midwife in a previous life. .........Loved that whole magical aspect of your place, and what we did together. I don't use that word lightly and I can't find another to describe what I mean. Other forces were at work and other realms showed themselves, layers were peeled off and truth and beauty shone through and sang their clear song.I would like to continue working--thats not the right word-- with you all, going deeper and strengthening our bonds under your intelligent strong and skillful, guidance Oya.

I will miss you both, I have learnt a great deal from you Oya about living with Spirit as a friend by my side, I'm deeply grateful. Michael your warm plates, sense of justice kind nature and animated stories i will indeed miss. Thank you for welcoming me into your home, sharing this magical land with me, feeding me so well, and caring for me so deeply, It has been a journey of some difficulty and much joy. I feel blessed to have spent this time with you both. I do not wish to say good bye because i will visit again soon.

Hello Oya and Michael,
We often talk about our experiences and the wisdom you shared with us. It has had a profound effect on our lives and we got so much out of it. We loved the fact that it turned out we were the only ones there as we got you both all to ourselves, It really helped us to formulate some stuff, and put things in perspective. Words can't quite express what happened but it was definitely a bit of magic. We really appreciate the way in which you work and felt thoroughly nurtured and loved in just the right way. Can we come again?

Thanks for the gift of solitude and time to heal my aching heart. Michael your glass or two of wine and Oya your laughing helped, my only complaint : Put on weight : your food was fantastic I never expected such love, care, and puddings. Oya you know the way to this man's heart.

....in awe of how simple you made the dance, why haven't i got that before been dancing for 9 years .... it's so simple !!
i'm really inspired....Your intuition, courage to dance the edge, care and tenderness stripped every thing down to bear bones and left me with simplicity of breath and instinctual movement.......... what a revelation. Only a true medicine woman could crack that.

Hello Oya Sept 2009
Thank you for inviting me over my thresholds in such a loving manner. Rosie
Finca Rio de la Luna By Rosie Mappleback
We are graced by ichneumon's in yellow and black bands
and turquoise dragonflies which dance
above the red rocky terraces of agaves before a Moorish fortress.
We guard against sun, not intruders
so scorpion spiders creep up on our ramparts.
A chatter and hubbub from the night balcony breaks
Sultry fiesta hums of lazy fly and chirping cricket song.
A gentle breeze rustles crisped almonds and a stand of bamboo muffles monotonous sounding of an anxious finca dog.
The storm-tainted wind refreshes the arbour seat in whose silks we couch
to seize the shade cast from red clay pantiled roofs.
Each tile wears the impression of a different peasant thigh
who toiled in the same searing Andalusian sun.
The dancing tribes are welcomed in this hallowed space:
enfolded in loving hospitality and joy:
challenged to find their darkest inner places
and release their souls into the passion of duende.
Although we have danced and our bodies now want rested,
Our minds are lively ants, rushing by with seeds to store.
We mull over plans to decorate the massive finca walling,
As yet whitewashed stucco, bare in the local style.
In the morning, as the sun arises over Malaga,
Tucked in behind its groves of citrus, nut and avocado trees.
There will be preying mantis on the bathroom walls to shock us
and fiery salamanders, singing solar praise.
We dance barefoot into the warmth of mother earth;
Search for rocks to crush fur-clad almond shells;
Pluck dust-laden figs, all honey-sweet and jelly
While the Sahel reminds us she is not far away.
Fiesta de la Luna Mora grips our nights in spicy fever:
Avenues of perfumed wares fill old Guaro town.
All lit by bottled candlelight, in a feast of arab passion,
While the raw edge of flamenco searches out our souls.
